The last couple of days (1st week of Nov. 2008)

Little wet today and we should be closing on this condo the 1st of Dec.

This is on the porch of the Wentworth looking out.

This little water craft Truth shuttled the Russian and Japanese delegates who stayed at the Wentworth and devised the Treaty of Portsmouth that ultimately ended the Russo-Japanese War. This was around 1905. President Theodore Roosevelt brought about these peace talks between Russia and Japan, and won the Nobel Peace Prize for his actions.

This is the Roosevelt Lounge at the Wentworth. Stopped by for a little lunch; the best Clam chowder around.

This was last Tuesday..........in Stratham New Hampshire.

Last Sunday after the phone bank.

One of luke's many girl-friends.

Wiswall Falls

This is Wiswall Falls, just down the road from us it's Durham NH. we saw a couple of fisherman who told us that they caught a couple of trout.

Didn't know this but thanks to a neighbor who enlighted me to check for ticks because of the reputation of ticks at Wiswall falls. i did find about 5 ticks on luke and myself.

Back home, later in the afternoon......

The Stewart Sisters and Mother in law

Tricia's sister and Mom were in town for a week.
This is in downtown Portsmouth.

This had to be Thursday we took a drive up to the "Bush's" in Kennebunkport.
The following was a mural i wanted a picture of it's at this little Post office in Kennebunkport and it's of the seaport and by Gordon Grant and you can just make out the date of 1944.

Gloria, this one is for you; you wanted a picture of the red berries against the blue sky.

forgot which day this is but we went up to the Lakes region.

Sunday afternoon we stopped off at the Wentworth and had lunch before we dropped Gloria and Edith off at the airport in Boston.
......and those 3 pumpkins aren't fake.

Oct. 19, 2008

In the mornings because of the cold there's this very eerie mist that comes off the river . It's really cool looking and very dynamic and fleeting. Can't quite catch it in the pictures.

Picked up Tricia's Mom and sister Gloria in Boston yesterday. They're here visiting for a week.
