on the way home we stopped for a couple of beers and Tricia had "2" sea breezes.

Saturday 03/29/08
i took Tricia by the university of NH observatory and we found this old cemetery at the top of the hill; it was bittery cold out, the wind was blowing hard; kinda visually stunning and very cool, literally. I will go back to see how old the grave site is. it was just too cold to venture into the graveyard.

Ides of March
We went out to our new accountant this morning and afterwards we thought we'd head towards Portsmouth and we saw this old restaurant tavern called Lamie’s Inn. It was great. i had fish chowder and a lobster roll. Tricia had onion soup and a burger. This is what's left.

Great old Tavern and Inn; a lot of history in this old place.

........as we headed home we decided to check out the old Air Force base Pease; it's on the Great Bay. We are really loving this place. !!!

Went swimming this morning at the Swasey pool; then took luke out to the Heron Point sanctuary . It was kinda of slippery in the woods there was a lot of ice underneath the snow. i must of fallen about 5 times before i decided to turn back. luke thought it was a big game as i slid off the rocks and down into the river.

Sunday, February 24, 2008
Beautiful Sunday here in New Hampshire. We went to church; then came home and got luke and headed to the shore.

After we got home i took luke down by the mills and found a new way across the river to a wild life sanctuary. Heron Point Sanctuary, i thought it was private property but discovered a sign that said it was donated to the city of Newmarket; kinda of cool. there were a bunch of teenagers playing paint ball in the woods but luke sounded ferocious and they were pretty respectful.

This was the 1st time i've seen the big falls stopped i could read the date of 1887.

i could never see it because of the falls somehow they had diverted the water to come out the side.

This is from across the river on the side of the sanctuary looking over into town.

Washington's Birthday
Yeah..............; it's Washington's Birthday today.

It's been snowing all day; it's very pretty out. Walked down to the center of town; this is the local diner it's called Joyce's Kitchen.

This is looking out behind Joyces kitchen.

this is looking up the street from Joyce's Kitchen; thats actually our bank.

This building is right downtown very old i can not read the sign how old it is but i think it's the skinniest building in New hampshire.

Another great day; Tricia gets new furniture
Tricia said that she was tired of sitting on the floor and wanted something to sit on in the living room and front bedroom. (we haven't even been here 2 months!) So she picked out some couch, loveseat and chair from LazyBoy (aka sam). We went over to Manchester and put some money down on luke's new forbidden fruit.
We got up sort of early went to the gym; came home while Tricia was in the shower i walked luke down by the mill because i wanted to see the river it's been sort of high out back. This is down by the falls and in between the two mills.

Jumped in the car and headed over to Manchester NH. This is Route 101 it cuts across the lower part of the state.

Here's the "bride" on the love seat she wants and the couch.

........and here's the "lazy" boy in the chair she wants.

Afterwards we shot over to the coast and went up to Portsmouth to pick up the mail. the following picks are around Rye NH. looking towards the Isle of Shoals.

oh it's still pretty cold but beautiful.
