Tricia's visit to her Dad and Betty's Indiana home

Tricia went to her Dad's in Indiana for a couple of weeks.
This is at Applebee's in Kendalville on the way home after Fremont and Betty picked up Tricia at the airport.

This is a picture of a roast pork on the spit, in front of their home in Rome City Indiana.

Fremont and Betty's honeymoon restaurant in Sturgis Michigan.

Driving along US12 in Michigan

October in New England

Drove down to Gloucester last Thursday . Gloucester is great and the drive along the coast is quaint and remarkable with the history around every corner.
This huge rock has this plaque that says this is where the Massachusetts Bay colony was founded.

Everyone knows this one.

This was earlier this week i've wanted to get a beer at the York Harbor Inn. i highly recommend this place. Great seafood chowder and beer.

This is the Cape Neddick lighthouse

This is an old powder house from the 1812 War. i pass it about once a week and i always thought it could be a powder house because of the way it looks and when it was built. There is no plaque or anything but i could read the marble stone that says 1811.

This is one the paintings that keep staring at me when i volunteer at the The Portsmouth Athenæum.

Last week of August

This house is called the "Oracle House" it is the "oldest" house in New England.

What we didn't know was that it was a private residence and a nice gentleman asked us what we were doing. we told him just taking pictures and apologized for trespassing on private property.

Just watchin the river flow..........

A Nice Summer Evening

Tricia and i spent about 2 and half hours swimming up the Lamprey River and after we got cleaned up we decided to go to one of our favorite spots just down the road. i didn't know this till i picked up the brochure as we left and the ffrost tavern building dates back to about 1649.

Most everone was either outside on the deck or in the main room.
Tricia wanted to sit next to the old fireplace. i will say we eat down stairs with the poor folks.

Tricia is reading an 'old' advertisement about Mackinaw coats

i had fish and chips and Tricia had her hamburger.

Upstairs the dining rooms are charming. We'll probably take our parents here when they visit.
