Sunday Morning 1/27/08

Woke up this morning and i was glad it was snowing; we would have to walk to church.

Tricia said she did not want to break her hands walking to church in the snow.

I walked to church without her, this is the library right down the street from us.

This is Lamprey Falls right across from the library

This is the old Mill next to Lamprey Falls

This is a little further down towards church looking back at the falls and Mill

and here we are at St. Mary's.........

A memorable 57th Birthday ; January 22, 2008

It was a full moon.......... that's our place with the lights on

We must pass this place almost every day and we thought hey let's go in there for a drink. It's called Three Chimney Inn.

It turned out to be a really old Inn and Tavern. The food and drinks were very good. We're definitely coming here again.

We finally got a real bed and it's great !!!

This is the 4th air mattress we've had since this "adventure" started they're all right but they don't last.

Anyways...... we were tired of literally waking up on the floor every morning that we went and got a new "regular" mattress
here they are delivering it.

Went down to Exeter; way cool old New England town. That's Lady Justice on top of the town hall.

............and here's the real lady at the top of the stairs of the town hall who dishes out the justice...if you know what i mean......

A lot of these NH old towns seem to have a river running through them and old industries associated with the river. We really like it. That yellow house in the back on the right, i had a great bowl of clam chowda and the other lady justice had her chocolate cake and ate it too.

Oh, i found the whole ALEXANDRIA QUARTET in hard covers with book covers in an old shop in town, $30 bucks I had to have it.

In and around where we live.

It seems whenever i'm 'in Town' (Portsmouth) i make a point of having 'my' grande`drip and i enjoy it.

This is Durham landing, just down the road a bit. i'm currently on this quest to find the grave of General John Sullivan and it's around here i'll post it when i find it.

It's snowing today just a reminder when you move to New Hampshire remember Rule #1. You need a garage!!!

just a nice shovel job i did this morning as i type this i need to do it again.

New Year's Day 2008

It pretty much snowed all day. We emptied a couple of boxes. We found the flatware though we still can't find the knives. We put a couple of lamps together. We really need light.

I did shovel the front walk. Rule #1 if you move to New Hampshire.....make sure you have a garage!!!

We had our 1st sit down dinner at home... actually it was the 1st sit down dinner alone and not at deli or pizza joint.
